Liens & Searches
Search for serial number goods, like vehicles, trailers, boats, mobile homes, heavy equipment, etc. or general goods like office/shop equipment, etc. to see if they have a secured party holding an interest in them.
Searches are processed on-line. We require serial number, make/model or person's name (date of birth is helpful as a positive identifier) or company name.
Note: Caveats, liens and mortgages against land are not filed on Personal Property but on the land title itself
**Not all interested parties register liens.
Registering and Discharging service is provided at the counter.
To Register a lien, we require a completed Financing Statement (available in FORMS) and proof of contract. You will receive a verification statement along with a form for renewal or discharge.
To Discharge, we require the complete verification statement along with ID. A letter of "No interest" is not sufficient to remove a lien.
